The Hotflo Plus 250L Electric Heat Pump Hot Water system is designed to harness ambient air heat through an advanced heat exchange system that boosts your water temperature. Its smart control technology optimises hot water output while slashing energy use by up to 70%*, compared to conventional electric storage systems.
This unit also features a Wi-Fi enabled timing function that complements solar PV systems, dramatically reducing your energy bills. Constructed to withstand water pressures of up to 850kPa, the Hotflo Plus is not only easier and safer to install due to its lighter frame, but it also minimises environmental impact.

* Energy saving of up to 70% based on a Hotflo Plus Electric Heat Pump when compared to a standard electric water heater of the same capacity during peak winter load in Zone 1 based on AS/NZS4234. Savings will vary depending upon your location (Zone 1-5), type of water heater being replaced, hot water consumption and associated fuel tariffs.

Federal Small-Scale Technology Certificate (STC’s)
- Hotflo Plus’s innovative design allows it to be eligible for Grants through the Federal Governments Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, generously covering a proportion of the up-front costs of purchasing and installing the system.
- These grants are called Small-scale Technology Certificates (STC’s) and are offered based on how sustainable a hot water system is.
- Your STC rebate value will depend on your installation location, see the map above for your geographic Zone locations.
State Government Grants
Victoria
- For Victorian consumers there are additional rebates available for replacing inefficient hot water systems with Heat Pumps.
- Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) plus a Solar Victoria rebate are offered for eligible installations on top of the Federal STC grants - making the conversion to a Rinnai Hotflo Plus Heat pump the obvious low-cost choice.
New South Wales
- For New South Wales consumers there are additional rebates available for replacing inefficient hot water systems with Heat Pumps.
- Energy Savings Certificates (ESCs) are offered for eligible installations on top of the Federal STC grants - making the conversion to a Rinnai Hotflo Plus Heat pump the obvious low-cost choice.
