Background
In preparation for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, the Queensland Government developed a significant portion of the Games Village precinct to accommodate approximately 6,600 athletes and officials from around the world.
The development included 1,170 apartments and 82 townhouses across a seven-hectare residential precinct. Following the Games, the village was transitioned into a permanent residential community, creating the need for building services that could effectively support both temporary and long-term occupancy.
A key requirement was the provision of reliable hot water across the entire development, ensuring residents and athletes alike had consistent access to hot water during periods of high demand.
Challenge
